Blockchains make an unusual promise: every balance and every transfer is public. In practice almost nobody reads them. Holder counts, user numbers and volumes are quoted in decks, data rooms and listings as if they were audited figures, when they are the easiest numbers in finance to inflate.

Most of the analysis that does exist is paid for by the project being measured, or comes as a dashboard that leaves the judgment to the reader. We do the opposite. We work for the party at risk, we look at one specific question, and we deliver a written conclusion with the evidence behind it.

Lucidblock began as a wallet analytics product, which is where our tooling for profiling wallets at scale comes from. We now apply it to a narrower job: telling people whether the wallets behind a number are real.
